Ingredients:

3 Sticks of Celery

2 Carrots

1/2 Lemon

Tips:

You will want to buy all organic when possible, but if you can only choose one, make sure the celery is organic.  I don’t peel the lemon when I juice.  I find the oil in the peel adds even more flavor.

All you need is 4 apples.  I find Granny Smith apples great for juicing.  It’s easy to juice, and I love the tartness.

Style:  Even though both look like ejection style centrifugal juicer, the Omega VRT350HD is actually a single auger masticating juicer, and the process and the speed they use to extract the juice is night and day.

Juicing Process:  Breville 800Jexl Juicer uses a spinning blade that runs at upwards of 13,000 RPM (can be dial down to 6500 RPM) to extract the juice.  The Omega VRT350HD on the other hand, uses an auger that turns at 80 RPM to crush the fruits and vegetables to extract the juice.

Juice Quality:  Because of its slow RPM (at around 80), masticating juicers generally produce slightly better quality juice with very little foam.

Leafy greens:  Though centrifugal juicers can juice leafy greens, masticating juicers are MADE for leafy greens.  Just feed the greens into the juicer, and watch the magic happen.

Wheat Grass:  Notoriously hard to juice, wheat grass can only be juiced in a masticating juicer.  How hard is it to break down wheat grass?  Well, cows have FOUR stomachs…to extract the juice from grass, that’s how tough it is.
