Celery and Apple Juice Recipe.
To call this a recipe is technically pushing it. It only requires two ingredients…celeries and apples. If it’s such a no brainer, why did I decide to post it?
Well, it’s because this recipe is the perfect way to introduce green vegetables into your juicing routine. A lot of the dark leafy vegetables have a bitter taste and smell. This is no problem for seasoned juicers who actually enjoy the taste of dark leafy greens (at least I do), but for novice juicers, that could be a problem.

Also, if you are introducing vegetable juice to children, the last thing you want to do is give them a cup of kale, swiss chard or collard green juice…even if you mix it with carrot or apple juice. The smell and taste can be over powering.
Here comes celery to the rescue! It is a green vegetable, and it contains a lot of powerful vitamins and minerals. The vitamins and minerals in celery includes: vitamin C, B1, B2, B6, phosphorus, potassium, natural sodium, calcium, folic acid, magnesium…etc. The list of health benefits from celery juice goes on and on, but here i’ll mention a few:
- Anti inflammatory
- Relieves constipation
- Cancer fighting properties
- Re hydrates the body
One thing I would like to mention, is that celery is one of the most sprayed (with pesticide) produce on the market. I highly recommend buying organic celery instead of conventionally grown ones.

Adding celery to your juicing routine is a safe and sneaky way to add the power of green vegetables, without sounding the anti vegetable alarm in kids and some adults.

Celery Apple Cucumber Juice Recipe:
- 6 stalks of celery
- 1 or 2 apples
- 1 cucumber
Cucumber is great for healthy skin, hair and nails. It is also great for cleansing the blood and said to be good for arthritis. You can substitute apples for carrots, and use more or less depending on your taste.
Celery Pineapple Juice Recipe:
- 1 medium wedge of pineapple, with skin on
- 3 to 5 stalks of celery
Pineapple juice is sweet, great for digestion, and prevents excess water build up. You don’t need to core nor peel the pineapple, just cut it into small pieces or, if you have the Breville 800Jexl, put whole wedges into the feed tube.
Celery Parsley/Cilantro Kale Juice Recipe:
- 8 Stalks of Celery
- 1 bunch of Cilantro or Parsley
- 3 to 4 leafs of Kale
- 1 Apple (optional)
This is not a beginner juice recipe. If this is your first time going all green, I recommend reduce the amount of cilantro and kale, and maybe add an apple for taste. Gradually build up the amount of kale and cilantro over time.
